DC Reasi presides over weekly Block Diwas meeting at Chinkah

REASI: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited Block Thakrakote and listened to the issues of public importance and addressed grievances of the residents of the area.

During weekly block Diwas, PRIs and general public of the area put forth their demands seeking road connectivity to uncovered areas, meeting shortage of teaching staff in schools, augmentation of health care infrastructure, drinking water supply, resolution of forest issues, land compensation and other like issues.

PRIs as well as the general public also hailed the efforts of the district administration for bringing Chinkah on the tourist map.

DDC Jig Thakrakote, Abdul Rashid highlighted the empowerment of three tier structure of PRIs and its role in development of the area and stressed on PRIs to work in tandem with district administration to resolve the public grievances. Further, the BDC Chairperson block Thakrakote, Rajinder Singh presented the charter of works done by various departments for developing the panchayats on modern lines.

The DC, while addressing the public issues, stressed on effective implementation of Central Schemes and UT Capex budget works to benefit the general public. She stressed on extending the benefits of the schemes to the last man in the queue in a more transparent and efficient manner.

Besides, the block Diwas meeting was attended by ADDC Reasi Jyoti Salathia; PO ICDS Anwar Banday; ACD Anirudh Rai, besides other district and sectoral officers.
