JAMMU: A seminar was organized at PG Department of Music, Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground here, on the topic “Folk Music of Jammu Region with Special Reference to Paakh.”

The resource person for the seminar was Asha Kesar, a well-known singer from Jammu  at  national level.

The seminar was inaugurated by the chief guest, Principal GCW Parade, Dr. Ravendar Kumar Tickoo and was attended by Dean of Academics at GCW Parade, Prof. Avinash Gupta, along with senior faculty and many students from the college.

The college Principal congratulated the Music department for organizing the seminar and encouraged students to participate in such seminars and workshops.

Head of the Music Department, Dr Jasmeet Kaur thanked Asha Kesar for sharing her valuable knowledge and inspiring students with her presence.
