World Suicide Prevention Day 2022: GCW Udhampur hosts webinar on ‘Early identification of self-harm, its prevention'

UDHAMPUR: A webinar on "Early identification of self-harm and its prevention among youths" was today organised by the Department of Counseling and Psychology Cell, Government College for Woman, Udhampur to mark observance of World suicide prevention day 2022.
Dr Gurjot Singh, Consultant Psychiatrist, Waves Hospital, Hoshiarpur was the Resource Person for the webinar.
He spoke on the warning signs, especially among the students and the risk factors involved.
During his talk, he highlighted the methods to deal with the sensitive issues faced by the students and youth. At the end, an interactive session was held between the speaker and the participants.
Prof. (Dr) Monika Sharma, Principal, GCW, Udhampur, welcomed the audience and introduced the theme of WSPD - 2022.
Dr. Kamal Deep Kaur, convener, Counseling and Psychology Cell GCW Udhampur, introduced the speaker and also delivered the vote of thanks. Around 80 students participated in the webinar. E- certificates will be provided to all the participants.
