JAMMU: Mission Shakti, District Hub for Empowerment of Women Jammu Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), organised a comprehensive session on Gender Sensitisation and Women-Centric Schemes for Self Help Group (SHG) members at Lower Barnai, here today.

The session organized under the supervision of District Mission Coordinator Mission Shakti Shagun Manchanda was aimed to empower women by generating awareness about gender equality and to educate them about various government schemes focused on women's welfare and development. Gender Specialist, Mission Shakti Sonali Rana spoke in detail about gender sensitisation, its importance in community development and the wide range of schemes available for women to support their economic and social growth.

JKRLM Block Programme Manager (BPM) Manisha appreciated the efforts of the Mission Shakti DHEW Jammu team and extended heartfelt thanks to the officials for their dedication to women empowerment. She highlighted the importance of such collaborative initiatives in building informed and self-reliant communities.

The programme witnessed active participation from SHG members who engaged in meaningful discussions and expressed gratitude for the informative session.
