POONCH: In preparation for the smooth and successful conduct of the upcoming Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today conducted an extensive review of the necessary arrangements at the Mandi Mandir Complex.
The review meeting witnessed the participation of Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Officers from Line Departments, members of the Temple Management Committee and prominent civil society representatives.
The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the preparedness and finalize key arrangements for the annual pilgrimage. The Temple Management Committee projected several essential requirements including accommodation for pilgrims, provision of ration and firewood for langars, availability of drinking water and other logistical needs crucial for ensuring a smooth and safe yatra.
Civil society members also shared valuable suggestions and concerns pertaining to the pilgrimage. They appreciated the proactive efforts of the Deputy Commissioner and the district administration for regularly convening meetings to ensure timely planning and execution of Yatra arrangements.
The DC assured timely resolution of the projected issues and directed the concerned departments to work in close coordination for effective execution of responsibilities. He stressed the importance of fulfilling duties with dedication to ensure a spiritually enriching experience for the devotees.
The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the continued cooperation extended by the Temple Management Committee, civil society members, Security Forces and officers from various departments in making the Yatra a success.
