DODA: The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K, today organized a one-day district-level workshop on the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) at Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Doda. The workshop aimed to sensitize key stakeholders about the Panchayat Advancement Index-an innovative tool developed to assess the multi-dimensional developmental status of Gram Panchayats across various thematic areas.
The event was presided over by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda Ashraf Pervaz and witnessed active participation from Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Doda Musharaf Ali Haf, Programme Officer ICDS Doda Akhter Hussain Qazi, officers and officials from various departments.
The workshop offered detailed insights into the Panchayat Assessment Index (PAI) and Panchayat Development Index (PDI), which form part of the broader PAI 2.0 framework. These indices are aligned with the Localised Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) and are aimed at evaluating and promoting holistic growth across key thematic areas such as: Child-Friendly Panchayat, Water-Sufficient Panchayat, Clean and Green Panchayat, Self-Sufficient Infrastructure in Panchayats
Participants received hands-on training on the PAI digital portal, including modules on data entry, scorecard interpretation, information dissemination and monitoring mechanisms. The workshop also featured a recap of learnings from PAI 1.0, highlighting key improvements introduced in PAI 2.0, updated workflows and clearly defined roles of stakeholders. |
