KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma on Monday conducted a comprehensive inspection of developmental works from Kuleed Chowk to Saffron Development Park Berwar here in the Kishtwar Township.
The inspection focused on progress of work on critical civic infrastructure and roads, including pothole repair and drain maintenance.
The DC issued clear directions to the GREF team to expedite pothole-filling operations and ensure timely desilting of drainage channels to prevent water logging and ensure smooth commuter movement, especially in light of upcoming Yatras, including Shree Machail Mata Ji Yatra 2025.
He also reviewed ongoing measures to curb encroachments along the route, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unhindered access to public infrastructure.
The DC directed the Tehsildar to serve notices and seal vehicle washing points creating nuisance by throwing water on the road. He asked stakeholder departments to safeguard public assets and uphold the convenience and safety of the general public.
The DC was accompanied by ACR Idress Lone and officers/officials from PWD, Jal Shakti, Revenue, Municipality, RDD and GREF Team, besides other concerned staff.
