RAMBAN: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban has suspended 17 driving license for a period of three months on the recommendation of traffic regulation agencies.
The suspended licenses belong to individuals found guilty of committing serious violations of motor vehicle laws, posing a risk to public safety. As per norms, show cause notices were issued to all violators, providing them an opportunity to present their defense. However, most of them failed to respond, while a few gave unsatisfactory replies.
The action was taken during the ongoing extensive enforcement drive by the MVD Ramban across the District, aimed at curbing traffic violations and promoting disciplined driving behavior.
This move is in compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, especially for enforcement along the vulnerable National Highway stretches of Ramban.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kuldeep Singh has intensified enforcement measures throughout the district to ensure safer roads and has emphasized that strict action will continue against traffic law violators.
