4th National Lok Adalat held at Kathua

KATHUA: District Legal Services Authority Kathua today organized Fourth National Lok Adalat of the calendar year 2022 in District Kathua under the guidance of Chairman DLSA Kathua Jaffer Hussain Beg (Pr. District& Sessions Judge Kathua).

Six Benches were constituted for settling the referred cases. The Bench No.1 comprised District Mobile Magistrate, Kathua Brij Raj Singh and ARTO, Kathua Neeraj Kumar, ; Bench No.2 was comprising of Munsiff JMIC, Kathua Cheena Sumbria, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kathua, Sandeep Seiontra; Bench No. 3 consisted of Munsiff JMIC Basohli, Jeevan Kumar Sharma and Bar President, Basohli, Advocate Shub Kumar; Bench noincluded Munsiff JMIC, Hiranagar, Girja Shavan and Bar President, Hiranagar Adv. Thakur Ranjit Singh, Bench No. 5 consisted of Addl Special Mobile Magistrate, Billawar, Rohit Sharma and Bench No. 6 consisted of Munsiff JMIC Bani, Ahtzaz Ahmed and Advocate Rajinder Kumar of Bani.

The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Public Utility Services, Pre-litigation matters and also Traffic challans.

A total number of 2031 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 1902 cases were settled and an amount of Rs. 59,75,864 was realized as settlement amount.
