Dogri poetry recitation organized at GDC Marh

JAMMU: To commemorate International Mother Tongue Day, a Dogri poetry recitation was today organised by the department of Dogri, Government Degree College Marh to educate the students about the importance of mother tongue and its cultural richness.

The theme of the event was ‘Multilingual Education is a pillar of Intergenerational learning.'

The Principal of the College Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul was the chief guest. He congratulated all the concerned faculty members for observing the day of international importance and said languages are essential tools to communicate and share knowledge, memories, history and key to full and equal participation.

The Students of Dogri department of all semesters presented thought provoking poems about Dogra and Jammu culture. Dr. Sheetal Devi HOD Dogri co-ordinated all the proceedings.

Dogri cuisine Kyur was prepared by the student as refreshment. In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Ashu Jolly HOD Education.
