GDC Vijaypur hosts 2 Day Sports Meet Competition

SAMBA: A two day Intra College Sports Meet competition began today here in Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur under the banner of "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" and "Voting Awareness Campaign".

The activity was organised under the supervision and guidance of the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta and delivered the welcome note.

Addressing the participants, she appreciated and encouraged students for active participation in the various sports events being organised by the sports committee of the college.

The Principal of the College also declared the sports meet competition open, organised to create awareness regarding voting rights among the students and the staff of the college.

The Intra college sports competition started with a chess competition in which four teams of men and two teams of women took part. Volleyball competition was also organised in which three teams participated.

The sports meet was organised by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (Convenor, Nasha Mukhti Abhiyan), Dr. Manoj Heer (Convenor, Sports Committee), Dr. Jan Mohd. Wani (PTI) and co-ordinated by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Prof. Mamta Gupta, Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO), Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Prof. Mazid Malik, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo (Member, Nasha Mukhti Abhiyan), Dr. Tisha Singh, Dr. Attied Khawar and Gagandeep Singh.
