Heritage School conducts Investiture of New Student Leaders in a Grand Ceremony

JAMMU: Heritage School celebrated its student leadership with an imposing Investiture Ceremony on Saturday.

The much-anticipated event unveiled the newly elected student council, chosen through an electronic voting system involving faculty and students from grades X to XII.

The ceremony brimmed with pride as the elected council members stood on stage, exuding confidence and a sense of accomplishment. It was a moment of immense joy for the distinguished parents of the elected members, who witnessed their children embark on a leadership journey.

The investiture also encompassed the Junior Council Members from the Primary Wing, creating a heartwarming scene as both senior and junior leaders, brimming with zeal, prepared to receive their badges and sashes.

The day commenced with a warm welcome address followed by the illumination of the lamp, symbolizing an auspicious beginning. A captivating motivational dance performance further set the tone for the ceremony.

Akash Pradhan, Principal Heritage School, then administered the oath of office to the School Prefects and House Prefects. Following the oath, Manroy Singh (XII) and Samridhi Gupta (XII) were officially invested as Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively, with badges and sashes pinned by the Principal. Aryaveer Singh (Vice Head Boy) and Aditee Bangotra (Vice Head Girl) received their insignia from Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur.

The investiture continued with Vivaan Bhardwaj and Ashwika Sambyal being adorned as Head Boy and Head Girl of the Primary Wing by the Incharge Classes I -II, Incharge Classes III- V respectively. Similarly, Kapish Magotra (Cultural Activities) and Sports Captain Arihant Singh were acknowledged with badges presented by the In-charge of Cultural Activities and the Sports Coordinator.

Other student council members, inducted by their respective House Mistresses, were:

Culture House: Manan (Senior Prefect), Arush Gupta (Senior Vice Prefect), Abhinandan Chandel (Junior Prefect), Anayah Choudhary (Junior Vice Prefect).

Tradition House: Viren Abrol (Senior Prefect), Manvi Sargotra (Senior Vice Prefect), Tanishveer Singh (Junior Prefect), Yuvika Bansal (Junior Vice Prefect).

Legacy House: Sasksham Diwedi (Senior Prefect), Mridul Dhawan (Senior Vice Prefect), Vihaan Krishna Manyal (Junior Prefect), Asreet Kour (Junior Vice Prefect).

Dignity House: Aryaman (Senior Prefect), Vaibhav Chandan (Senior Vice Prefect), Rudra Shahi (Junior Prefect), Bhawani Singh (Junior Vice Prefect).

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for these young leaders, brimming with anticipation for a fulfilling and enriching year ahead.

In his address, the Principal extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected council members and their parents. He underscored the significance of their election, highlighting the values instilled in them by both home and school. He exhorted the new leaders to uphold the school's ethos, discharge their duties with integrity and fairness, and expressed his unwavering faith in their ability to steer Heritage School towards even greater achievements.

The program culminated in a melodious rendition of the school song leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and inspiring the Heritageans to uphold the school's values and strive for excellence.
