Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi lays wreath at Kargil War Memorial in Drass

KARGIL: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday laid a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

He also paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi also paid their tributes to the braveheart soldiers by laying wreaths at the Kargil War Memorial.

Chief of Staff, Eastern Command Lieutenant General RC Srikanth, paid tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War at Vijay Smarak in West Bengal's Kolkata.

Families of the soldiers also remembered the bravery and dedication of their loved ones and paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War.
