Secretary J&K Pahari Board reviews Hostel Facilities in Rajouri, Poonch

Also inaugurates Computer Lab at Pahari Hostel, Poonch

JAMMU: Secretary of the J&K Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People, Sapna Kotwal conducted an intensive two-day tour of Rajouri and Poonch districts to review the functioning of Boys and Girls Pahari Hostels in the twin districts.

During her visit, Kotwal inaugurated a state-of-the-art computer lab at the Pahari Hostel in Poonch. While inspecting the Boys Pahari Hostel in Rajouri, she expressed satisfaction with its management under the supervision of the Warden.

During her interactions with the students in all hostels, Kotwal noted their gratitude to the government for providing excellent facilities.

At the Girls Hostel in Poonch, the Secretary engaged with the inmates, who expressed their contentment with the arrangements and services offered by the J&K Pahari Speaking People Board.

The hostels in both Rajouri and Poonch were found to be well-maintained, providing a nurturing and educational environment for the students. The facilities include nutritious meals, proper uniforms, and recreational amenities.

She observed that the students are not only academically inclined but are also being encouraged to develop holistically in a dynamic and supportive environment.

She emphasized the importance of using innovative teaching methods to make students more versatile and confident. She also assured the inmates and staff that their genuine demands and concerns would be addressed promptly and taken up with the Administrative Department as a priority.

In addition to her hostel inspections, Kotwal also met with several delegations from the area to discuss their concerns and suggestions for further development.
