DLSA Samba organises National Lok Adalat

SAMBA: As per the directions of Executive Chairman J&K Legal Services Authority National Lok Adalat was today organised at District Court Complex, Samba.

National Lok Adalat was inaugurated by R. N. Wattal, Worthy Pr. District & Sessions Judge (also Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba).

Three benches were constituted for settling the cases referred (Pre and Post Litigation),Bench No.1 was comprising of R. N. Wattal, Worthy Pr. District & Sessions Judge (also Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba), Arvind Sharma, Addl District & Sessions Judge, Samba and S.K. Khanmotra, Senior Advocate, Samba; Bench No.2 was comprising of Sandeep Singh Sen, Secretary(Sub-Judge) District Legal Services Authority, Samba, Himani Parihar, Munsiff(JMIC) and Renu Bala, Senior Advocate, Samba; Bench No. 3 was comprising of Rashi Verma, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Samba, Kritika Sethi, Addl. Munsiff, Samba and Ganesh Sharma, Senior Advocate, Samba.

The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Bank Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Pre-litigation matters, D.V. Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, 125Cr.Pc., and Petty Offence(s) including traffic challans. Beside this two more Benches were constituted for settling Revenue Cases, Cases underFood Safety and Standard Act, 2006, all cases of petty loans pending in all revenue Courts including the Courts of Tehsildar of District Samba, all Petty Public Utility Services related Cases, all Compensation Cases pending in the Courts of Assistant Labour Commissioner Samba. A total number of 947 cases were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which, 683 cases were settled and an amount of Rs1,37,85,160 was realized as settlement amount.
