ACB conducts raids in Kashmir parts to probe irregularities in firemen recruitment

SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday conducted raids at twin districts of Kashmir valley in connection with irregularities in the selection process of firemen in Fire & Emergency Services.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials conducted the first raid at the residence of a retired KAS Officer in Batengoo, in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

An official said the raid led by DySP rank officer, was carried out in connection with FIR No. 01-2025 registered at the Police Station Central Kashmir.

The case involves Irregularities committed in the selection process of Fireman/Fireman Drivers in the Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) Department.

The second raid, as per sources, was conducted at Aloochi Bagh area of Srinagar. The raid is linked to the same case involving irregularities in the selection process for Fireman and Fireman Drivers in the Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) Department.

The ACB is probing several individuals, including members of the Departmental Recruitment Board, the Technical Committee, officers and officials of the F&ES Department, and others involved in the recruitment process.
