Sale, consumption of liquor, non-vegetarian food prohibited in Katra, adjoining areas

REASI: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Katra by virtue of powers vested under section 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), prohibited sale/possession/consumption of liquor and non-vegetarian food such as eggs, chicken, meat, mutton, sea food, fish, prawns, lobster etc in Katra and other areas in the territorial jurisdiction of Sub-Division, Katra.

The prohibition would be applicable on the track from Katra to Holy Cave and in villages within a distance of up to 02 Km on either sides of the track; Arli, Hansali and Matyal villages; within 200 meters on either sides of Katra-Tikri Road, including villages Chamba, Serli and Bhagta; Within 200 meters on either side of Katra-Jammu Road including villages Kundrorian, Kotli Bajallian, Nomain and Maghal; Katra-Reasi Road from Katra to Nau Devian and Aghar Jitto and Nau Devian markets; within 200 meters on either side of Railway Station Katra-Sool Road and within 100 meter on either side of Panthal-Domail Road.

The order shall remain in force for two months from the date of its issuance unless revoked earlier.
