Multi-Level Parking, Transport Yard among several other projects planned for Udhampur town

UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai chaired a meeting to discuss the proposals of infrastructure projects being undertaken in the District.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Udhampur Jai Singh, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Udhampur, Rajinder Digra, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers.

During the deliberations, DC Udhampur emphasized the need for sustainable urban planning to ease congestion, curb unplanned development and formulate futuristic development strategies. She stressed the importance of proactive measures to ensure the holistic growth of Udhampur city.

A detailed discussion was held on the identification of land parcels for the construction of a Community Hall, Auditorium, ARTO Office, Transport Yard, Driving School and Multi-Level Parking.

The meeting also explored proposals for establishing parks to create green spaces, expansion of Government Medical College Udhampur and ITI etc.

DC sought inputs and suggestions from all stakeholders to refine and enhance the developmental roadmap. She directed the concerned departments to conduct feasibility studies and submit detailed reports for further action.
