GDC Marh organises 2-day Career Counselling on Competitive exams

JAMMU: Career Counselling Cell of Government Degree College Marh organised two day career Counselling to guide students regarding preparation for Competitive Examination.

The event was organized under the guidance of Principal of the College Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul. The Principal highlighted the significance of career counselling in helping students to figure out their strengths and develop strategies for success.

The resource persons Shoaib Farid-Director (Wings -EkUdaan) and Shubham Sardhalia, Centre Head (SUNYA), both registered under Mission YUVA, provided insights into different career opportunities after graduation and the scope of competitive exams.

The students were provided detailed guidance about competitive exams being conducted by JKPSC, JKSSB and SSC for government recruitments, besides the competitive exams conducted for entry into professional courses and as well as career avenues in different sectors after graduation. They emphasized the need of time management, hard work, early go getter techniques, subject orientation and self study. They shared preparation strategies, techniques and study skills with students to excel in academic and professional pursuits that will motivate them to clout their efforts and allegiance to create opportunities in future.

The resource persons also distributed study material. The session saw active participation from students followed by an interactive questions and answers segment, where students engaged with the speakers to seek clarifications on various aspects of career planning and competitive exams.
