Seven-Day NSS Winter Camp concludes at GCW Parade

JAMMU: The Seven-Day NSS Winter Camp, organized by Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground, Jammu, concluded successfully at the adopted village of Rakh Raipur, Satwari.

The camp, held from February 27 to March 5, saw enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers engaged in a series of community service activities.

Dr. Hema Gandotra, NSS Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu, graced the valedictory function as the Chief Guest. Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of NSS activities in shaping the overall personality of the youth. He commended the efforts of the volunteers and faculty for their dedication towards social service. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Hema Gandotra encouraged students to inculcate the NSS motto, 'Not Me, But You,' in their daily lives. She highlighted the significance of community service and motivated the volunteers to actively contribute to nation-building.

A vibrant cultural segment where NSS volunteers showcased their talents through traditional dance performances and melodious song renditions.

The event concluded with the certificate distribution ceremony, wherein volunteers who had excelled in NSS camps across the nation were felicitated for their contributions.

Dr. Hema Gandotra distributed certificates and motivated the students to actively participate in NSS and the My Bharat Viksit Bharat National Youth Parliament - 2025.
