Fruit Plants Under TDC-NICRA Project distributed among farmers

ANANTNAG: In order to promote diversified farming practices to enhance livelihoods, income generation, and climate resilience, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)-Anantnag, SKUAST-Kashmir, under the TDC-NICRA project, organized an interactive session, here.

As part of the annual action plan of the TDC-NICRA project, the event focused on empowering farmers through the adoption of scientific orchard management techniques and advanced nursery development practices.

High-quality planting materials, developed at KVK-Anantnag, were distributed among progressive farmers and budding agri-entrepreneurs, covering an area of over one hectare across two adopted villages. The selected fruit plants were chosen for their potential to enhance farm income and build resilience against climate change.

He underscored how integrating modern horticultural advancements with traditional knowledge could create new opportunities for entrepreneurship and contribute to sustainable rural development.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the farming community, with participants appreciating KVK-Anantnag's efforts in enhancing agricultural sustainability through scientific interventions and capacity-building initiatives.
