GCOE organises series of awareness events to mark Earth Day

JAMMU: Nature Club in collaboration with Department of EVS of Government College of Education Canal Road on Tuesday celebrated Earth Day by organizing a series of events under the patronage of the Principal Prof.(Dr.) Jyoti Parihar.

The activities included documentary screening on the theme ‘Our Power, Our Planet', promotional rally on the theme and slogan writing. Pledge to ‘Save Earth, Save Environment' was also taken by all. The activities were organised in different schools by the pupil teachers and their group Supervisors with school students.

The main objective behind this celebration aimed to endow the environmental significance and to protect and restore the planet through actionable and sustainable solutions.

The Principal appreciated the efforts of the pupil teachers and reminded them that protecting our planet is not an option but a shared responsibility and a day to promote greater consciousness for the earth's resources. Dr

Shalini Sharma, Convener Nature Club and HOD EVS emphasised that the Earth provides us with everything, especially natural life supporting systems like soil, air and water and a place to call home. So, let's all be thankful and extend gratitude towards our Mother Earth. The event was successfully organised by team Nature Club.
