UDHAMPUR: A meeting was convened in the Officer Chamber of the Chairman District Development Council Udhampur under the chairmanship of Chairman District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand in the presence of all District Development Councillors of the district, CEO DDC Udhampur Rajinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Udhampur Ashwani Hansa and all Block Development Officers of the District.

The meeting aimed to discuss and review the formulation of the Area Development Plan under PRI, BDC and DDC grants and strict directions were delivered to all the Block Development Officers to ensure that only feasible works, recommended by the general public in Gram Sabhas conducted in the presence of active representatives and officials from the Rural Development Department should be included in the ADP plan.

The Chairman emphasised the importance of aligning development projects with the actual needs and aspirations of the local communities, ensuring that the benefits of development reach the grassroots level. The District Development Council Udhampur remains committed to fostering inclusive growth, development and empowerment in the region prioritising community-driven initiatives and collaborative governance.
