BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Friday, along with a team of officers, conducted a surprise visit to the District Hospital Bandipora to assess its overall functioning and review the quality of patient care and adherence to work culture norms.
During the visit, DC inspected various sections of the hospital, including the Emergency Ward, In-Patient Wards, OPD, Maternity Unit, and other critical care units. He interacted with patients and attendants to personally gauge their level of satisfaction with the facilities and services being provided.
While taking first hand feedback from the patients, DC emphasized the importance of maintaining patient-centric services, medical hygiene and a disciplined environment within the hospital premises. He issued on-spot instructions to ensure better upkeep of wards and timely delivery of healthcare services.
DC directed the hospital authorities to ensure that all medical and paramedical staff adheres strictly to prescribed dress codes, with their name tags clearly visible on uniforms as per medical protocol.
He further instructed the incharge Medical Superintendent, Dr. Tahira, to enforce the hospital duty rosters strictly and ensure that rotational duties are followed meticulously to maintain round-the-clock medical services. He also stressed the need for punctuality, regular attendance, and effective internal coordination among the hospital teams.
On the occasion, DC assured that the district administration is committed to improving healthcare delivery systems and will continue to carry out regular monitoring to bridge any service gaps. He also underscored the importance of grievance redressal mechanisms and urged the hospital management to remain responsive to the needs of the people.
