LEH: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brig (Retired) BD Mishra has described as "wrong, rumour and provocative" the statement of Congress leader and Lok Sabha member Rahul Gandhi that China has taken over grazing land of the people along Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

Addressing a function here, Mishra, without naming Rahul, said a statement has been given that land of India has been taken over which is "wrong, rumour and provocative".

Describing China as "enemy country", the LG Ladakh said China attacked India in 1962 without any provocation but due to wrong policies of our then leadership as the Army wasn't prepared.

"However, now in case of any misadventure, we will give them (China) a bloody dose," he declared.

Asserting that patrols of two countries will keep on facing each other or maybe there are clashes, Brig (Retired) Mishra said: "We haven't given an inch of land to any country nor we will give".

The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh also took on Pakistan also describing the neighbouring country as "enemy of India" saying they fought wars in 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999 and had to face the consequences.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is on a tour of Ladakh for past one week now had stated during his tour to Pangong lake in Leh district that the people have stated that their land has been taken over by China.
