MUMBAI: The excitement is palpable as the spirited contingent of 780 from Jammu and Kashmir embarked for yet another exhilarating adventure with the College on Wheels programme.
The train carrying the female students left Mumbai for scenic Goa this evening.
Packed bags and inquisitive faces tell the story of anticipation and curiosity, as the students from the various universities and affiliated colleges of the Union Territory, prepare to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural tapestry of Goa.
This unique initiative, flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on November 19, continues to break barriers and redefine traditional education by taking learning beyond the classroom walls. Following the awe-inspiring exploration of the Naval Base and Dockyard, the students are now set to unravel the treasures that Goa has to offer.
The College on Wheels journey is not just about destinations; it's about expanding horizons and fostering a thirst for knowledge. As bags are meticulously packed with a blend of essentials and excitement, the anticipation for the upcoming experiences in Goa adds an electric buzz to the air.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off "Gyanodaya Express- College on Wheels", the first-of-its-kind mobile educational endeavor in Jammu Kashmir, from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Railway Station, Katra on November 19.
Gyanodaya Express- College on Wheels is aligned with the visionary National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and seeks to propel a shift from job seekers to job creators, fostering a culture of idea incubation, innovation, and skill development.
Beyond academic pursuits, the Gyanodaya Express will enable the students to gain a holistic understanding of the areas they visit. It will also serve as a catalyst for personal growth, innovation, and national unity.
The contingent comprises 780 students along with their mentors and the administrative staff from the University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, Cluster University of Jammu, Cluster University of Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir, affiliated colleges of JU and KU, Delhi University and Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), New Delhi. |
