ANANTNAG: Without naming Jama'at-e-Islami J&K, Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Saturday extended congratulations to religious organization for announcing its decision to take part in mainstream electoral politics of Jammu and Kashmir.

Bukhari who was addressing public meeting in south Kashmir's Anantnag said "I extend my congratulations to religious organization who have decided to walk on shoulder-to-shoulder with people and work for peace and development of Jammu and Kashmir".

He said we are first Muslims and then Indians, and added "No one should suspect doubts on our nationality and faith".

During his address Bukhari lashed out at NC president, saying "Tell me what your MP's did in last five years in the Parliament? What they did at the time of Article 370 abrogation?".

"The people of Jammu and Kashmir have come to know of your intentions and interests. Elections are under and youth of J&K will teach you a lesson through bat. They will shot sixes in elections which will be end of your political journey," he said.

Bat is Apni Party's election symbol allotted by Election Commission of India (ECI).

"How many youth NC has brought out of jail in last five years? Have you brought any factory to J&K to provide livelihood to unemployed youth," he added.
