REASI: Reasi Police recovered a substantial quantity of Alprazolam tablets and arrested a female suspect in connection with the illegal possession and distribution of controlled substances.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a targeted operation at Railway Road Katra, leading to the seizure of 3020 Alprazolam tablets, a medication often abused for its sedative effects.

The suspect, identified as Laxmi Devi, wife of Vishal Kumar, resident of Yogashram Katra, was taken into custody and is currently being held pending further investigation.

In this regard, case FIR No. 142/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Katra.

"The recovery of these tablets and the arrest of the suspect are significant steps in our ongoing efforts to protect public health and safety."
