SRINAGAR: The north Kashmir's Gurez Valley in Bandipora district received moderate snowfall overnight much to the relief of residents.

According to the locals, the centrally located Dawar, received nearly 9 inches of snow, while the far-off tehsil of Tulail received comparatively less snow of around 5 to 6 inches.

The Razdan Pass was buried by snow, triggering its closure. SDM Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad said that 5 to 8 inches of the snow was received.
