Benches amicably settles all 426 cases, realises Rs 2,72,600/ as settlement amount

KATHUA: Under the esteemed leadership of Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Executive Chairman of J&K State Legal Services Authority Justice Atul Sreedharan, a Special Lok Adalat was successfully conducted.

The event was chaired by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kathua, who also serves as the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority Kathua. The Lok Adalat was organized by Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Kamiya Singh Andotra.

Five benches were constituted for the event. Bench No. 1 was presided over by Jatinder Singh Jamwal, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kathua, along with Pravin Pandoh, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Kathua. Bench No. 2 consisted of Amandeep Kour, Sub-Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate, Kathua, and Neena Thakur, District Mobile Magistrate, Kathua. Bench No. 3 at Billawar was led by Poonam Gupta, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Billawar, and Prashant Kumar, Munsiff/JMIC Billawar. Bench No. 4 at Basohli included Bhanu Bhasin and Advocate Shub Kumar, while Bench No. 5 at Mahanpur was overseen by Kangana Gupta, Munsiff/JMIC Mahanpur.

During the Lok Adalat, a total of 426 cases were taken up for amicable settlement. Impressively, all 426 cases were successfully settled, resulting in a total settlement amount of Rs. 2,72,600/-.
