BUDGAM: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aabha Abhiyan, a large-scale awareness and outreach programme was successfully conducted today at panchayat Checkshera, village Gojithiji, a remote tribal settlement under block Khansahib.
The programme focused on saturation of government schemes across 25 interventions under 17 line departments, specifically targeting tribal communities.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, with greater turnout, reflecting the growing interest and engagement of the tribal population in the Abhiyan.
All concerned line departments actively participated in the Gram Sabha, wherein their representatives elaborated on the eligibility criteria and benefits of various government schemes, and identified areas where 100% saturation was yet to be achieved.
A significant highlight of the programme was the on-spot registration and facilitation of schemes including PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin), Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), Swadesh Darshan Guest Homes, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) - Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC), PMJAY Health Cards (Ayushman Bharat).
Adding cultural vibrancy to the event, students of Government Secondary School Gojithiji presented captivating performances, including Gojri folk songs and other traditional cultural items, highlighting the importance of preserving tribal heritage and identity. |
