DC Reasi chairs CLU committee meeting

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ms. Nidhi Malik, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to examine Change of Land Use (CLU) cases in the district. The meeting aimed to ensure judicious and regulated use of land in alignment with government norms and sustainable development goals.

A total of 10 CLU proposals were taken up for detailed scrutiny during the session. After thorough deliberation with officials from concerned departments, 5 cases were granted approval, 4 were rejected due to non-compliance with guidelines or insufficient documentation, and 1 case was reverted to the applicant with directions to address specific observations raised during the discussion.

DC Malik underscored the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in the CLU process. She called for a coordinated approach among departments and instructed officials to expedite the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) following proper document verification. Emphasizing strict compliance with legal procedures, she also set clear timelines for the processing and disposal of cases.

The Deputy Commissioner further reiterated the administration's commitment to fostering efficient and transparent land-use practices, which are crucial for orderly development in the district.

The meeting was attended by ACR Mr. Nitin Verma; Divisional Forest Officer (DFO); Executive Engineer, JPDCL and other concerned officers and stakeholders.
