Indian Chamber of Commerce President meets Dr Jitendra, discusses industry related issues

NEW DELHI: Abhyuday Jindal, President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology; Earth Sciences and Minister of State for PMO, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh here today and discussed a range of issues related to the industrial and economic landscape, while also extending a formal invitation to the Minister to address the upcoming ICC Global Business Summit at Mumbai this September.

During the meeting, Jindal appreciated the Centre's efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance the ease of doing business in India. He noted that several of the Government's initiatives have helped streamline industrial operations, foster innovation, and improve the overall investment climate. The discussion also touched upon India's emergence as a major player in global manufacturing and services.

The ICC President formally invited Dr. Jitendra Singh to be the Chief Guest at the ICC Global Business Summit, to be held on September 17 and 18, 2025, in Mumbai. The event marks the centenary celebrations of the Chamber and is being hosted for the first time in India.

The two-day Summit is expected to witness participation from over 500 global and national dignitaries representing more than 20 countries, including government leaders, business executives, and entrepreneurs.

This year's theme is "Transformation," with a strategic focus on key sectors such as technology, manufacturing, food and agro-processing, defence and aerospace, financial services, healthcare, AI, green energy, and the circular economy.

The Summit, said Jindal, aims to serve as a platform for thought leadership, business collaboration, and forward-looking policy dialogue. It also underscores India's increasing role in shaping global industrial trends and economic policy, he said.

Dr. Jitendra Singh welcomed the invitation and acknowledged the role of industry bodies like the ICC in fostering public-private collaboration and supporting the government's reform agenda. He assured that the request would be considered and that relevant officials would remain in touch for further coordination.

The interaction reflected a growing synergy between government and industry stakeholders in charting India's economic future, with such platforms providing momentum for both dialogue and delivery.
