KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, chaired a review meeting on the ongoing IEC campaign against drugs under Nasha Mukt JK Abhiyan.

The meeting assessed awareness activities conducted in educational institutions, panchayats and urban areas. Issues such as inadequate display of IEC materials, limited video screenings, incomplete event documentation and absenteeism of resource persons were noted.

DC directed nodal officers to ensure broader public participation, including SMCs, Biodiversity Committees and youth volunteers. Officers were asked to upload event details promptly and ensure visibility of content.

Officers will attend a training workshop on July 14, 2025, at the DC Office, Kishtwar, to strengthen campaign implementation.

DC also chaired a District NCORD Committee meeting to review anti-drug measures and enforcement performance.

The meeting was attended by PO ICDS Kishtwar Rishi Sharma, ACD Kaiser Bhawani, SDM Paddar Amit Kumar, SDM Chatroo Naeem Ur Rehman, District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed and other officers.
