IMPFA JU Participates in a Program organized by Ramakrishna Mission

JAMMU: In connection with "Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" the students of the Music Department of the Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA) today participated in a program organized by Ramakrishna Mission Udhywala Jammu.
The students performed various items like violin, sitar & vocal. A large number of audiences highly appreciated the performance of the students of IMFA.
The students who participated in the said program are Pooja Pandita, Dharni Devi, Ritika Verma, Simran, Omkar, Dhamni, Yougal Jyoti, Paras, Akshay Sharma, Shubham & others. They were accompanied by the teachers including Dr. Sumeet Madan, Dr. Jasmeet Kour, Dr. Roshi Shaminotra & Dr. Anjul Aggarwal along with Chanderdhari Kesar & Prabhat Bali.
Later, the Principal IMFA Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik distributed certificates to the students. Speaking on occasion Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik congratulated the teachers & students for their best performances.
He informed that such types of activities would be organized in the near future so as to boost the cultural heritage of Jammu.
Moreover, he also informed that the Kathak Dance Department of IMFA is going to organize one day National Seminar on "Hastmudras" in the 2nd week of September 2022 in which Kathak Dancers of the country are likely to participate. Besides, a Kathak Dance performance by the students & teachers is being also organized on the occasion.
