Stoppage time of Jammu Mail at Chhan Arorian extended

JAMMU: On the intervention of Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh the Railways has extended the stoppage time of Jammu Mail , Train No 14033/14034 at Railway Station, Chhan Arorian from August 13 to November 12 this year.

An order to this effect has been issued by the authorities of Northern Railways today. The Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh in his letter to Railway Minister, Ashwani Vaishnaw has said that on the public request the stoppage timing of Railway at Chhan Arorian be extended by further three months due to disruption of road traffic caused by flash floods that damaged the bridge on Tarnah Nallah on NH 44.

Dr Jitendra Singh said since the restoration work is still incomplete , the stoppage be extended at the same for further three months for the convenience of the public.

Earlier Dr Jitendra Singh on July 28 soon after the damage of the bridge has urged the Railway Ministry to order the stoppage of Jammu Mail Train No 14033/14034 at Railway Station Chhan Arorian for one minute up to August 12.

As the restoration work has not been completed Dr Jitendra Singh asked the Railway Minister to extend the stoppage time of the said train by further three months.
