DC Kishtwar launches fourth Reading Hub-Library at Block Bunjwah
Facility aligns with goal of providing equal opportunities of quality education to students, fostering enabling environment for learning in underserved regions

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today launched the Reading Hub-Library at Higher Secondary School Binoon, Block Bunjwah, in a momentous event attended by BDC Chairman Bunjwah Maryam Begum, DDC member Bunjwah Amena Banoo, CEO Prehlad Bhagat, EE PWD Kishtwar, along with other officers, officials, the Principal of the school and enthusiastic locals and students.
With today's launch - 4 Reading hubs have been completed in Kishtwar, Padder, Chatroo and Bounjwah.
Network of reading hubs serving as libraries, career counselling centers and a hub of activities under Mission youth will provide impetus to youths for taking their career to new heights.
The newly inaugurated Reading Hub-Library has been developed under Untied Fund of DC Office Kishtwar and is equipped with digital and online resources, providing free access to students and exam aspirants.
Each center will have a digital library, 24x7 reading amenities, a database of BYJUs online resources and all major competitive exam books in all corners of the district.
Furthermore, these Reading Hub-Libraries will function as Career Counseling and Guidance Centers for students. They will facilitate coordinated sessions conducted by the School Education Department and other stakeholders, ensuring proper guidance and counseling for students.
During his address, DC Kishtwar expressed the commitment to establish more such Reading Hubs in the days ahead. He emphasized the continuous efforts to bolster reading facilities and enhance competitive exam preparation in remote areas, aiming to facilitate underprivileged students aspiring for mainstream education and competitive examinations.
