Tragedy strikes in Udhampur: Two minor girls allegedly raped in forest

UDHAMPUR: In a disturbing incident in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, two minor girls were allegedly raped by two men in a secluded forest area.

The suspects, identified as Dalip Kumar and Ravinder Kumar, both residents of Panchound, reportedly accosted the victims on their way home from a school picnic.

Police sources revealed that the girls, aged 16 and 17, were found unconscious the following morning and were immediately transported to Sub-district Hospital Ramnagar for medical treatment.

A police spokesman indicated that the accused had initially fled the scene but were later apprehended by special police teams dispatched in multiple directions.

Authorities have registered a case under the relevant sections of law at the local police station. The investigation is ongoing to uncover more details surrounding this tragic event.
