PM Modi likely to visit Kashmir on June 21 to participate in Yoga event

SRINAGAR: After assuming office for third consecutive term, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to make his first visit to Kashmir on June 21.

The PM is expected to participate in a Yoga event to be held in Srinagar on Yoga International Day.

As per media reports, the PM Modi is likely to observe International Yoga Day in Srinagar. The PM Modi will take part in the event which will be held at SKICC backyards overlooking the Dal Lake and Zabarwan Hills in Srinagar.

The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led administration has been alerted in this regard, while the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has been directed to make preparations for the PM's Yoga Day participation.

Officials of Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council have started preparations, and Yoga teams and instructors have been asked to prepare for this mega event.

Reports said that J&K Sports Council has asked its respective sports wings to gather 3000 sportsmen for the mega-event. Also security teams have been visiting SKICC to make elaborative security arrangements at the venue.
