MD JJM reviews implementation of schemes in district Samba

JAMMU: Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K Khurshid Ahmad Shah today reviewed the implementation of JJM in district Samba through virtual mode.
The chair was appraised about the various components under execution through a power point presentation.
As per the figures 130 schemes are in different phases of execution in the district out of which 83 schemes have been completed so far. 522 civil works which include bore wells , Dug wells, Tube wells, over Head Tanks, Rapid Sand Filtration Plants, Slow Sand Filtration plants, General service reservoirs and laying of pipe networks have been allotted out of which 422 works stand completed.
130 Schemes are under execution with the Mechanical counterparts out of which 92 stand completed.
The MD directed the concerned officers to clear the bottlenecks in schemes which have been delayed due to forest clearances, land acquisition or issues related to other departments.
The chair was informed that the district comprises of 382 villages with 79,840 rural households and till date 54,407 have been provided with Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC's).
The Chair directed all officers complete the process of Har Ghar Certification of 131 reported villages out of which only 59 have been certified within shortest possible time.
The MD stressed the need for better supervision and monitoring of the projects to ensure timely completion
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department Jammu, top Jal Shakti Officials of the district and Consultant's civil as well as mechanical.
