Fresh gunfire in Kathua, area cordoned off

KATHUA: A fresh exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Duggan area of Billawar in Kathua district on Friday evening.
A top police official said that security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area following input about the presence of terrorists.
During the operation, terrorists opened fire, triggering a fresh exchange of fire. The area has been cordoned off and additional reinforcements have been rushed, the officer said.
