Religious fervor, Community Spirit mark Commemoration of 326 Khalsa Sajna Diwas

POONCH: The festival of Baisakhi, symbolizing the dawn of the new Bikrami Year and the anniversary of the 326 Khalsa Sajna Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch.
The festivities, held under the supervision of Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji, attracted a significant gathering of pilgrims and visitors, affirming a strong sense of community and faith.
Joining devotees at the celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammad Sayeed and Tehsildar Haveli Azhar Majid visited Dera Santpura Nangali Sahib to pay their respects and greet the gathering on this auspicious occasion of the Baisakhi Festival. Their presence underscored the unity and reverence associated with this important day.
The event featured a touching religious sermon attended by thousands of pilgrims from diverse regions, including Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and visitors from abroad including England and USA.
During the Smagam, the esteemed Ragi Jathas performed soulful gurbani kirtan, captivating the audience and enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.
The congregation witnessed spirited recitations by Bhai Surinderpal Singh Ji from DGPC Jammu, Bhai Chhwinder Singh from Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib New Delhi and Bhai Harcharan Singh Hazuri Ragi DGPC Poonch.
The district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner ensured the successful execution of the festival with comprehensive support from various departments.
JPDCL, Jal Shakti, Health Department, Ayush Unit Poonch, JK Police, PWD, and the Rural Development Department worked collaboratively to facilitate this grand celebration.
Jathedaar Nanak Singh from Nepal contributed significantly by shedding light on Gurbani Vichaar and elaborating on the significance of Khalsa Sajna Diwas, offering insightful reflections that resonated with the audience.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by S. Harcharan Singh, General Secretary of DGPC Poonch, who ensured a seamless flow of events throughout the evening.
The festivities culminated in an exhilarating Gatka performance.
The festival concluded on a heartwarming note with the serving of Guru Ka langer, reinforcing the bond of love and unity among the devotees.
