Mission YUVA: Orientation Training imparted to Yuva Doots at Poonch

POONCH: An Orientation-cum-Training Programme for Yuva Doots was successfully conducted under the auspices of Mission YUVA at the Multipurpose Hall of SKC GDC Poonch today. The event was chaired by District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal.
In his address, the DDC underscored the critical importance of strategic planning and active coordination in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. He urged the Yuva Doots to serve as effective communicators and facilitators, bridging the gap between the administration and aspiring young entrepreneurs at the grassroots level.
Deputy Director Employment Mohd Rafiq emphasized the vital role that Yuva Doots can play in identifying potential entrepreneurs, raising awareness about various self-employment schemes, and assisting them in accessing benefits under Mission YUVA.
The programme featured a comprehensive presentation delivered by Resource Persons from the Employment Department, who detailed the specific responsibilities of the Yuva Doots within the mission framework. The presentation provided valuable insights into the various components of Mission YUVA, including its objectives, expected outcomes, and key features such as: Interest Subvention Schemes: Financial incentives to support new businesses, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC): A one-stop E-commerce marketing platform aimed at enhancing online business opportunities, District Level Small Business Development Units: Support units designed to assist small businesses at the district level, Sub-Divisional Level Business Help Desks: Local help desks to provide guidance and support to entrepreneurs.
The session was designed to sensitize Yuva Doots about their roles and responsibilities in this ambitious initiative, which aims to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, encouraging Yuva Doots to engage actively and seek clarifications regarding their roles in implementing Mission YUVA.
