PO attends Poshan Pakhwada event at Bhagwah- Doda

DODA: District Programme Officer ICDS S. Paramjeet Singh along with his team joined the celebration of Poshan Pakhwada at AWCs of ICDS/Poshan Project Bhagwah.

The Poshan Pakhwada celebrations emphasized nutrition and health awareness. As part of the program, hygiene awareness sessions are being organized in all Anganwadi Centres of the district to educate mothers, pregnant women (PWs), and lactating mothers (LMS) on infection prevention and the critical importance of hygiene in promoting the well-being of infants and the wider community.

During the visit, the District Programme Officer interacted with the locals and children, reviewed the functioning of the centres, and highlighted the importance of adopting best practices in early childhood Care education and nutrition. The Pakhwada 2025, aims to educate about the importance of maternal nutrition, proper breastfeeding practices, and the role of a balanced diet in preventing childhood stunting and anemia.
