PULWAMA: Continuing its efforts to ensure last-mile delivery of services and welfare measures, district administration Pulwama today organised a mega outreach camp at Gulshanpora, Tral under the nationwide flagship initiative Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).

The initiative aimed at empowering tribal communities through awareness and saturation of government schemes, saw enthusiastic participation from locals and multi-departmental engagement on the ground.

A wide range of government departments including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Mission POSHAN, Forest, and others set up dedicated stalls at the venue to deliver on-the-spot services.

The event was also attended by Member of Legislative Assembly Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Naik and DDC Member, Manzoor Ahmad Ganie, who actively interacted with the public and listened to their concerns and assured them of continued support and coordination for effective implementation of government programmes at the grassroots level.

On the occasion, MLA also distributed Ayushman Bharat Cards, Birth Certificates and other certificates among the beneficiaries, highlighting the government's focus on inclusive welfare delivery and outreach.

Officers including Tehsildar Tral, BDO Aripal and other field functionaries were also present to facilitate real-time registration, enrolment, and awareness dissemination.

The camp recorded a significant turnout and witnessed a surge in enrolments under various government schemes. Special health camps were organised by the Health department to provide basic diagnostic services, free consultations, and focused awareness sessions.

An extensive sickle cell screening drive was also carried out besides educating the community about Sickle cell disease and water-borne illnesses, preventive healthcare, safe drinking practices, and early detection protocols.

Participating departments facilitated registrations under key schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission (Functional Household Tap Connections), MGNREGA Job Cards, PMAY-G, and PM Ujjwala Yojana among others. Eligible citizens were guided and assisted on-spot to ensure timely and complete coverage under these schemes.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from tribal residents, who commended the administration's initiative for delivering critical services directly at the grassroots level.
