BANDIPORA: Under the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), district administration Bandipora on Thursday organized impactful awareness and benefit saturation camps at MS Badwan and GMS Khandiyal in the remote Gurez valley.
Aimed at deepening outreach in tribal areas, the initiative witnessed enthusiastic response from local communities, including tribal elders, and women. The camps served as vital platforms for spreading awareness about government welfare schemes and ensuring doorstep delivery of essential services to residents of these far-flung habitations.
During the events, different departments including Health, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal and Sheep Husbandry facilitated on-the-spot enrolments, scheme registrations, and distributed information on flagship government programmes such as PMAY-G, Ujjwala Yojana, PM-KISAN, pension schemes, and educational scholarships.
These outreach activities are being conducted as part of the 15-day district-wide DAJGUA campaign launched earlier at GHSS Aragam, covering 31 identified tribal villages. The initiative is aimed at achieving cent percent saturation of welfare schemes, ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left behind. |
