DySP from J&K among 151 get Home Minister's medal

JAMMU: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) from Jammu and Kashmir Dr Sachit Sharma was among 151 police officers, who have been awarded Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation.

Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) City South Jammu Dr Sachit Sharma, who had done meticulous investigation in the Krishna Dhaba terror attack case in 2021, has been awarded with the prestigious Home Minister Medal for Excellence in Investigation 2022.

Dr Sharma is the only Police Officer from Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, who has been conferred with this prestigious award.

He has been awarded this medal for meticulous investigation done by him in Krishna Dhaba terror attack case in 2021. He had unearthed the conspiracy to revive Muslim Janbaaz Force in Kashmir Valley.

DySP Dr Sachit Sharma is already a recipient of Police Medal for Gallantry, Jammu Kashmir Police Medal for Gallantry, DG JKP Commendation Disc and DG CRPF Commendation Disc.
