The Law School JU organises interaction session with Gandhian Activists

JAMMU: The Law school, University of Jammu in collaboration with Gandhi Peace Foundation Jammu chapter organised an interactive session between the students and the Gandhian activists namely Kumar Kalanand Mani from Goa, Prof. Shekhar Sonalkar from Maharashtra, Manoj Meeta from Bihar, Ramesh Chand Sharma and SP Verma from Gandhi Global Family.

The activists were on a "Gandhi 75 Kashmir Smriti Aman Yatra".

Kumar Kalanand Mani emphasised the need to preserve and protect the environment.

He cited different environmental movements and their impact on strengthening environmental laws.

Prof. Shekhar Sonalkar talked about the role of youth in the nation-building process.

They collectively emphasised upon the contemporary relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in the present context of consumerist cultures.

Earlier Prof. Manju Jamwal, Director, The Law School welcomed the distinguished guests.

The interaction session was coordinated by Dr Seema Rohmetra, Associate Professor& Coordinator, Gandhi Peace Foundation, Jammu Chapter.
