Two week river rafting event commences at Gulabgarh Paddar

KISHTWAR: District Administration Kishtwar has joined hands with adventure enthusiasts and stakeholders, including Asikini Adventures and Extreme Adventures to organize a thrilling two-week river rafting event in mighty Chenab River near Gulabgarh Paddar.

The event aims to promote adventure tourism and support adventure tourism operators in the area. A circus for the locals and children, along with tent houses, has been installed to enhance the recreational experience for attendees.

The two-week-long river rafting expedition has attracted adventure lovers and enthusiasts from across the region to enjoy the exhilarating spate of the Chenab River alongside the Gulabgarh bank.

The event witnessed the presence of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav; CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma; SDM Paddar Amit Kumar; ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh among other officers and officials.

DC Kishtwar shared words of encouragement with the stakeholders and adventure enthusiasts for the event.

Meanwhile, during the tour of Paddar Sub-Division, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the preparations for the Shree Machail Mata Yatra by taking first hand appraisal of the status of approaching roads, bridges, and accommodation facilities. Necessary directions were passed to concerned agencies to expedite the preparations to ensure hassle-free facilities ahead of the Yatra.

SDM Paddar was instructed to monitor the process closely to ensure timely completion of all necessary arrangements.
