SRINAGAR: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Khimber, organized an awareness programme aimed at sensitizing students about the growing threat of drug abuse.
An impactful theatrical performance by a local artist group captured the emotional and societal toll of addiction, leaving the audience visibly moved. The students responded with overwhelming appreciation and expressed a strong interest in witnessing more such transformative cultural initiatives.
Nazir Ahmad, Principal of the institution, commended the programme for its timely relevance and lauded the use of culture as a medium to guide and educate the youth.
Addressing the gathering, Burhan Hussain, Cultural Officer, highlighted the immense potential of art in shaping young minds and reaffirmed DIPR's commitment to continue such socially responsive programmes.
